Thelma Wright was a Canadian middle distance runner. She competed in the 1500 metres at the 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1976 Summer Olympics. In 1970, Wright won a bronze medal at the World Cross Country Championships in France, and a bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh at 1500 metres.

Raised by loving parents in a beautiful Catholic family in South Philadelphia, Thelma attended St. Maria Goretti High School before enrolling at Temple University, where she studied housing management. According to his recently published invitation, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he set up various businesses, including the establishment of a clothing company called Jackiem Enterprises, Inc., in the late 1980’s. After spending several years in LA, Wright, who missed home, returned to his hometown of Philly.

In July 1991, Wright and several of his friends were caught red-handed in a shooting spree in a popular nightclub called Studio West. Less than two weeks later, he avoided another type of bullet: One of his longtime clients, known as “Fats,” was picked up by police after he phoned the Post Office about a package that failed to arrive.

By the end of 1991, Wright had decided to quit the drug game. For many years, he remained silent in public and silent about his past.
