MG Motor India has unveiled its first all-electric convertible sports car, the MG Cyberster, marking a significant step in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. Priced between ₹60 lakh and ₹70 lakh (ex-showroom), the Cyberster combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek design, aiming to attract car enthusiasts seeking performance and sustainability.

Striking Design and Convertible Appeal

The MG Cyberster boasts a futuristic design with scissor doors and a soft-top convertible roof that retracts in just 15 seconds. Its aerodynamic silhouette is complemented by LED headlights, arrow-shaped taillights, and 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Available in four vibrant colors—Dynamic Red, Inca Yellow, Cosmic Silver, and English White—the Cyberster is designed to turn heads on the road.

Powerful Performance and Impressive Range

Under the hood, the Cyberster is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, delivering 510 horsepower and 725 Nm of torque. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Powered by a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Cyberster offers a driving range of up to 580 km on a single charge, according to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). A rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant with a 64 kWh battery may be introduced later, depending on market response.

Luxurious Interior and Advanced Features

Inside, the Cyberster features a modern cockpit with a curved display housing three digital screens, providing essential driving information and entertainment options. The interior is equipped with a Bose 8-speaker sound system, 6-way power-adjustable ventilated seats, a 4-way adjustable steering wheel, and automatic climate control. Safety is prioritized with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.

Availability and Booking Details

The MG Cyberster will be sold exclusively through MG’s premium “Select” dealerships across India. Pre-bookings commenced in March, with deliveries expected to begin in April. Customers can reserve the Cyberster by paying a token amount of ₹30,000.
