India’s two-wheeler market saw a major shift in April 2025. Hero MotoCorp, which was once the top player, dropped to the fourth position. Honda, TVS, and Bajaj have now taken the top three spots in monthly sales, marking a big change in the rankings.
Honda Takes the Lead
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India became the number one two-wheeler manufacturer in April 2025. The company sold a total of 480,896 units, including 422,931 units in India and 57,965 units overseas. With strong demand for scooters like the Activa, Honda has regained its top position.
TVS and Bajaj Hold Strong Positions
TVS Motor Company secured the second spot by selling 430,330 units, showing a 15% growth compared to April 2024. Their domestic sales stood at 323,647 units, and their electric vehicle sales also went up by 59%.
Bajaj Auto took the third spot with 317,937 units sold. While their domestic sales dropped by 13%, exports rose by 4%, showing strong demand outside India.
Hero MotoCorp sold 305,406 units in April 2025, which is a big 43% drop from last year. This includes 286,089 motorcycles and 19,317 scooters. The drop was partly due to a planned production halt at four of its factories for maintenance and supply chain adjustments between April 17 and 19.
