Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India’s leading car manufacturer, kicked off the new fiscal year with impressive sales numbers. The company reported total sales of 1,79,791 units in April 2025, a 6.96% year-on-year growth compared to April 2024’s 1,68,089 units.

Domestic Sales Overview
In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,42,053 units, slightly higher than the 1,40,448 units recorded in April 2024. Out of these, 1,38,704 were passenger vehicles, up from 1,37,952 units in the same month last year.
Segment-Wise Sales Breakdown
- Mini Segment (Alto, S-Presso): 6,332 units (down from 11,519 units YoY)
- Compact Segment (Swift, Baleno, WagonR, Dzire, Ignis): 61,591 units (up from 56,953)
- Ciaz (Mid-Size Sedan): 321 units (down from 867)
- Utility Vehicles (Ertiga, Grand Vitara, Brezza, etc.): 59,022 units (up from 56,553)
- Eeco (Van): 11,438 units (slightly down from 12,060)
- Super Carry (LCV): 3,349 units (up from 2,496)
Export and OEM Sales
Exports surged with 27,911 units shipped, an increase from 22,160 units in April 2024. The company also supplied 9,827 units to OEM partners like Toyota, up from 5,481 units a year earlier.
